A common 3 1/2" high-density microfloppy diskette has a data storage capacity of 1.44 megabytes. Assuming that a page of text occupies approximately 2 kilobytes of space, this data storage format can hold the equivalent of just over 700 pages of text, enough to hold two average-sized novels.
